In December of 2017, in the midst of the controversy in my home province around the legitimacy of saying “Bonjour, hi!” to a customer entering a shop in Quebec, the Bloc introduced a bill to restore the per-vote funding for political parties that had been revoked years earlier by Stephen Harper’s government.
