There are a lot of lessons for Canada coming out of this absurd and destructive war the United States is waging against Iran, many of which we should already have picked up from the remarkably similar war being waged by Russia in Ukraine.
Did Netanyahu and Trump really know something that might have justified what appears to have been no more the brute stupidity? Is the US quickly exhausting its military defence capacity? Who wins in all this? Putin, it seems. Can Putin afford to lose the drone technology of Iran? The US/Israel strike killing the head of the Iranian theocracy has created 31 more dangerous Iranian provinces within the same borders and that discounts the Houthis. All bets are off on how to resolve the mess. Now, we are informed that Iran has the material to create nuclear weapons and that the only way to capture/eliminate that is on the ground, but the US may not have the allies nor the non-nuclear capacity to do so. Will the second nuclear strike be Kiev? How can we all wake up from this nightmare?
